How do shared transfers work, and why should I choose to travel with you?

The great thing about SnowBus is that you only pay the cost of the seat you personally take.  There are no hidden charges, and you're still guaranteed a quick journey direct to your chosen resort.  By collecting passengers from different flights at regular intervals, we keep your costs as low as possible as well as delivering an extremely convenient service.  Unlike other scheduled buses we use smaller, more comfortable vehicles which means you get to resort much faster and have a much more personal experience.

 

Do you make any stops on the way to resort?

We use the fastest proven routes for getting you to and from resort because we know that nobody likes to hang around on their holiday.  

 

Can I book a seat right up to the last minute?

Due to the unique way in which SnowBus operates we do require all online bookings to be made at least seven days in advance of your travel date.  For any last minute bookings, customers are required to contact us and check availability before booking.

 

Where do you pick-up and drop-off passengers?

Your SnowBus driver will meet passengers at the airport information desk in both Chambery and Geneva airports.  In resort we make several stops around both Tignes and Val d’Isere in order to get you as close as possible to your hotel or chalet.  Please ensure that you select the correct pick-up point in your resort when you are booking your tickets.  For more detailed information please see our Travel Information page.

 

What vehicles do you use?

We have a range of high quality minibuses that we use for our transfers.  With a range of 6, 8 and 16 seat minibuses we always have a comfortable vehicle ready for your journey.

 

What arrangements do you make for Les Arcs passengers?

If you are travelling to Les Arcs from either Chambery or Geneva airports then SnowBus has a cheap transfer solution for you.  We drop-off and pick-up directly at the funicular train station in Bourg St Maurice.  This efficient transport method will take you up to Les Arcs 1600 in just seven minutes.  From this point there are free buses available to take you to any point around the resort.  If your transfer bus is due to arrive or depart when the funicular is not operating, then it will be the passengers responsibility to make alternative arrangements for travel to/from Les Arcs.  Taxis and public buses are also easily available.

 

Do you drop-off and pick-up in other locations?

Within the villages of Tignes and Val d'Isere we can only stop at the designated bus stops.  These have been specifically chosen to be in convenient locations for all passengers.

 

What if my flight, or one of my flights, is not listed on your transfer booking page?

The flights listed on our booking page are linked to their respective bus timings, and are those which our schedule has been designed around.  If your particular flight does not appear here you can choose the 'unlisted flight' option and manually select the appropriate bus timings from our timetable.  Please ensure that you also give us your flight details and leave enough time at the airport on both legs.  Bus timetables can be viewed here.

 

What is your luggage policy?

All our buses are equipped to take a reasonable level of luggage from each passenger.  SnowBus.co.uk consider one suitcase/holdall + one ski or board bag per person as reasonable luggage. If you are planning to bring more than this, or any other equipment such as buggies, etc., please inform us when you book and we will do everything we can to accommodate it.


Do we need to book a place for small children too?

Under French law, each passenger traveling with us must be allocated a seatbelt. Therefore you will need to book a place for all members of your group who will be traveling with us, no matter what their age.  Unfortunately for this reason we cannot offer discounts for small children.

 

What if I miss my bus?  

SnowBus will do everything possible to make sure that all passengers are aboard every transfer  journey.  However,  we can only delay our scheduled buses by a maximum of 20 minutes after their departure time.  If you do miss your scheduled bus we will try to get you on the next available SnowBus transfer, or help you make alternative travel arrangements. 

It is the responsibility of passengers to get in touch with their SnowBus driver through the contact details provided in order to to discuss anything in these situations.
